The Last Song Synopsis:
Based on best-selling novelist Nicholas Sparks’ (“A Walk to Remember,” “The Notebook”) latest novel, "The Last Song" is set in a small Southern beach town where an estranged father (Greg Kinnear) gets a chance to spend the summer with his reluctant teenaged daughter (Miley Cyrus), who'd rather be home in New York. He tries to reconnect with her through the only thing they have in common—music—in a story of family, friendship, secrets and salvation, along with first loves and second chances.

The Last Song Movie Reviews:
Miley Cyrus makes her non-Hannah Montana film debut in The Last Song, a heart-warming drama about life, love and growing up.
My expectations of this film were quite low, but if you can handle all the cheesy warm fuzzy moments then you might actually enjoy it!
Based on the Nicholas Sparks novel of the same name (written for the film -- and Sparks also penned hits including The Notebook and Mandy Moore's A Walk To Remember), The Last Song tells the story of Veronica 'Ronnie' Miller (Miley Cyrus), a mixed up, rebellious teenager sent against her will to stay with her Dad (played by Greg Kinnear) for the summer.
Ronnie meets Will (Liam Hemsworth) and despite her best efforts to push him away, they end up falling in love. Drama ensues when Ronnie finds out Will kept a secret about her father from her but like most romantic dramas the couple have a happy ending, despite other tragic events.
The film is a bit of a tear-jerker and being Miley's attempt at a role that will break her away from her Disney Hannah Montana persona be prepared to see Miley steal, swear, scream, flirt AND get her pash on.
