The Story Of Rocket Singh - Salesman Of The Year :
Rocket Singh - Salesman Of The Year is about a salesman named Harpreet Singh Bedi (Ranbir Kapoor) who has just graduated, and his marks are, well, let's say a little embarrassing. But marks never stopped him from dreaming of an exciting and adventurous career, and they never will. He takes a deep, positive breath and dives into the world of sales, rumoured to be an ultra cool career for all smart people blocked from entering medical, engineering or business schools by brainless entrance exams. It's everything he dreamt of, with its smooth dressing, smoother talking men and women who can sell ice to an Eskimo, dreams to an insomniac, and a lifetime mobile connection to a dying man. But soon, his idea of success begins clashing with the strange ways of these 'professionals' and 'bosses' he looked up to.
The story is about how he slowly becomes a conman and how he starts operating a parallel company within the same company in which he is working without the knowledge of others.

Rocket Singh – Salesman of the Year is the official name of an upcoming movie in 2009 under big banner of Yash Raj Films. The successful combination of the movie Chak De – Director Shimit Amin and writer Jaideep Sahney has come together again and are working forRocket Singh – Salesman of the year . Bollywood’s happening hunk – Ranbir Kapoor is playing the lead male role in the movie. He is playing a role of a Sikh salesman with proper sardar look with turban and beard. OppositeRocket Singh aka Ranbir Kapoor, the female lead role is being played by Shazahn Padamsee (daughter of Sharon Prabhakar and Alyque Padmsee). The release date of theRocket Singh – salesman of the year has been decided of December 11, 2009 so far.

Ranbir Kapoor (Mr. Harpreet Singh alias Rocket Singh) is born in well known Kapoor family of Bollywood, he is son of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, grandson of Mr Raj Kapoor and great grandson of Prithviraj Kapoor. His debut movie was Saawariya with Sonam Kapoor, daughter of Anil Kapoor followed by his second movie – Bachna Ae Haseeno with Bipasha Basu, Manisha Lamba and Deepika Padukone. His forthcoming movies are – Ajab Prem ki ghazab kahani with Katrina Kaif, Wake up Sid with Konkona Sen Sharma andRocket Singh – Salesman of the year with Shazahn Padamsee.Shazahn Padamsee – lead female in Rocket Singh – Salesman of the year is making her debut in bollywood industry. Shazahn, 21 year old is born to famous theatre personality and ad maker Alyque Padamsee and pop sensation Sharon Prabhakar. Making a debut in Yashraj Films can prove to be a bonus for her career in Bollywood.
