Samvritha Sunil unveiled the official website of the Malayalam movie "Vairam". The function was held at Kalloor Stadium, Ernakulam.
The film is directed by Nishad.M.A and is written by Cheriyan Kalpakavadi. N.Shiva Rao produces the film under the banner of CinemaNSR (I) P. Limited. The film is expected to release during Ramzaan time. Based on social relevance the movie "Vairam" is the story of a father’s fight for justice after his daughter Vairamani (Dhanya) is brutally molested and killed. Pasupathi plays the role of Sivaraman, an officer in a bank in Kerala.
Originally a Tamilian, he is married to a Malayali girl, Devi (Meera Vasudev). When money and political power influence the judiciary, Sivaraman (Pasupathy) has no other option than to track down the culprit on his own. Annie Jacob (Samvrutha Sunil), an investigative Journalist of a popular Magazine is on trail of the case, trying to bring up the story which becomes sensational.
Adv. Ravi Varma (Suresh Gopi) takes initiative to reopen the case. The DYSP of crime branch Thomas Erali (Mukesh) who does not believe in the usual police tactics, investigates the case in his unique humorous manner. The Journalist, Advocate and Police officer together battle to bring out the truth and at last reveal who is who behind the scene.
Politician turned director M A Nishad, was instrumental in making movies that featured stories about contemporary issues of Kerala. His movies like Pakal and Nagaram were applauded mostly for their sensitive content, rather than for its making. Any how, his last movie ‘Aayudham’ which featured Suresh Gopi in the lead managed to make enough revenue to make its producers happy.
M A Nishad is now getting ready to start his next movie titled ‘Vairam’ with a big cast line. Suresh Gopi will don the lead of the movie which will have Tamil actor Pashupathy, and popular stars of Mollywood Jayasuriya, Mukesh and Kalabhavan Mani in important roles.
‘Vairam’ will be scripted by Cheiyaan Kalpakavady based on a story by the director. Samvrutha, Bhama and Meera Vasudevan will be the heroines of the movie which will be start its shoot by the last week of April. N Sivarao N.S.R India limited will produce the film.
Suresh Gopi, Mukesh, Pasupathi, Jaya Soorya and Kala Bhavan mani had been casted as heroes in ‘Vairam’, directed by M.A. Nishad. Bhama, Samvritha and Meera Vasudev are heroines. It is for the first time Pasupathi is acting in a Malayalam film. They are supported by Thilakan, Jagathy, Sai Kumar, K.P.A.C Lalitha, Rekha and others. Under the banner of NASR India, N. Siva Rao is producing the film. The director himself has penned the story. Cherian Kalpakavady has penned the dialogue and screen play. Sanjeev Sankar will wield the camera. Lyrics by Gireesh Puthenchery and M Jaya Chandran has scored the music. The shoot will begin on April 15 at Theni. Other locations are Ernakulam and Thodupuzha.
