Vinay Deolalikar, an IT expert has finally solved the biggest computer related problem of the century relating to P and NP. Deolalikar is a researcher who is an employee at the Hewlett Packard research lab. He is an eminent researcher in the field of computernetworking.

Vinay Deolalikar has produced a paper which suggests that he has successfully proven that P is not equal to NP. The HP researcher puts P smaller than NP. If the solution of the problem is correct than he will receive a colossal amount of cash as the prize for cracking the biggest problem of the millennium.

Deolalikar expressed that he worked very hard on such a difficult problem. He stated that he used his extra time to sort out the problem. After solving the problem he forwarded his paper to several other prominent researchers. The news regarding the breakthrough was disclosed by a local blogger. Many computer researchers believed that P was different from NP. But all of them were waiting for a valid proof and now Deolalikar believes that he has finally solved the problem along with a valid proof.

At present the leading researchers are still trying to verify the paper. They are trying to validate Deolalikar’s paper whether it contains the proof without the presence of any flaws. The question regarding P and NP is awaiting a peer review.
