London 1818: a secret love affair begins between 23 year-old English poet, John Keats (Ben Whishaw), and the girl next door, Fanny Brawne (Abbie Cornish), an out-spoken student of high fashion. This unlikely pair begin at odds, he thinking her a stylish minx, while she was unimpressed not only by his poetry but also by literature in general. However, when Fanny heard that Keats was nursing his seriously ill younger brother, her efforts to help touched Keats and when she asked him to teach her about poetry he agreed. The poetry soon became a romantic remedy that worked not only to sort their differences, but also to fuel an impassioned love affair. When Fanny's alarmed mother and Keats' best friend finally awoke to their attachment, the relationship had an unstoppable momentum. Intensely and helplessly absorbed in each other, the young lovers were swept deeply into powerful new sensations, "I have the feeling as if we're dissolving," Keats wrote to her. Together they rode a wave of romantic obsession that only deepened as their troubles mounted. Bright Star Australia film Review :
Keats's romance with Fanny Brawne and final days are brought to lovely life in Jane Campion's new film, Bright Star. He had TB, though it's never named. When he had become very ill, they sent him to Rome. How foolish! Its climate isn't healthy, though it might have seemed so compared to Hampstead. The house where Keats lived in Hampstead for two years and was in love with Fanny Brawne and wrote some of his has just been restored. Campion's film may not be a deep investigation of poetical genius, but it's delicate and alive and infinitely touching. There's a delightful litte rosy-cheeked girl, and good use is made of cats. The handsome Regency house was then divided into two, one side occupied by Keats and his landlord and possessive companion Charles Brown, the other by a family called Brawne. He fell in love with Fanny Brawne, and she with him.
She is creative in her own way, a brilliant seamstress and designer of clothing who was inventive with fabrics. She didn't know much about poetry but to go by the film, she crammed the classics to be able to talk to Keats and read all his poems and memorized many passages. They recite them back and forth to each other, which may be artificial, but you don't mind, because the poetry is their love, it bloomed through their love and expresses it. Until he began coughing blood and ceased to write because he was suddenly too ill, Keats wrote some of his best work in Hampstead, in love with Fanny Brwwne.
They express their love in long sweet kisses, and walking hand in hand. This too is artificial but a fitting symbolic expression of the ecstasy and swoons of romantic poetry. Bright Star is a film based on the last three years of the life of poet John Keats, and in particular his romantic relationship with Fanny Brawne. It stars Ben Whishaw as Keats and Abbie Cornish as Fanny. A British/Australian/French co-production, it was directed by Jane Campion, who wrote the screenplay and was inspired by the biography of Keats by Andrew Motion, who served as a script consultant on the film. The film competed in the main competition at the 62nd Cannes Flim Festival, and was first shown to the public on 15 May 2009.The film's title is a reference to a sonnet by Keats named" Bright Star,Would I Were Sted Fast As Thou Art," which he wrote while he was with Brawne. This Movie Links With Review Thousands of people think same so download and watch movies whenever and wherever they want. Soul Kitchen German Film Review :
Director Faith Akin is often called one of the most important contemporary German directors to have emerged in recent years. Soul Kitchen is Akin' highly anticipated first attempt at a genuine comedy. So far Akin has been has been more involved in the fields of drama and romance. In a recent interview he revealed he was curious to explore a more varied range of film genres which sounds like an interesting plan. In venice this year, the film was celebrated by the audiences and scored the special jury price. The story revolves around a restaurant/club called Soul Kitchen and the troublesome life of its respectful owner Zinos. He has to overcome many struggles involving his girlfriend, his brother and the authorities. The film is set in the heart of the diverse northern German city of Hamburg, the home turf of the two scribes Faith Akin and Adam Bousdoukos. Akin described how he studied classical sketches by Charlie Chaplin and also looked at his method of working. A simple "joke" that comes off easy and natural on screen had been reworked over and over. For some of the scenes Akin admittedly said he had to shoot 30 takes before it felt right. This made him doubt his own abilities but in the end let him grow as a filmmaker and as an individual. The result is a stellar solid performance by the entire cast. Many jokes and payoffs will unfortunately and without a doubt get lost in translation but still the timing and heartblood of the actors will still capture anyone's attention. Akin makes use of a couple of his "regulars": Adam Bousdoukos, Moritz Bleibtreu and the great Birol Ünel but also introduces fresh unknown blood with the two female leads Lucia Faust and Nadine Krüger. Having just seen another film recently I noticed myself how well this film is balanced out in comparison. There is a rhythm, a beat or a harmony. The soundtrack and editing allow the plot to flow organically and let the narrative play out smoothly.
Interestingly Akin once mentioned that since "Gegen die Wand" (Head On, 2004) he is inspired by the songs used in his films in a visual way and sets out a soundtrack before the filming is finished.

Amreeka English Film Plot:
A drama centered on an immigrant single mother and her teenage son in small town Illinois.Watch online Movie Trailer free Amreeka Hollywood film. The film Directed by Cherien Dabis . Left by her husband and barely surviving the Israeli occupation of the West Bank, a Palestinian leaves the country with her adolescent son to start a new life with her sister in small-town Illinois. Once there, daily reality sets in and integration proves to be more difficult that expected, especially since the confused local population sees her as the enemy, somehow connected to Iraq and the attacks of 9/11. This moving tragicomedy was the winner of the FIPRESCI Prize during the Director's Fortnight at Cannes.
Amreeka Hollywood Movie Review : This story follows a Middle-Eastern woman as she struggles living in an military-occupied West Bank. When she receives notice that she has been chosen in a lottery for a U.S. Green Card, she has to make the decision whether or not to uproot herself and her son for greener pastures. After making the decision to go, leaving her mother and brother behind, she realizes that life in Amreeka (America) is not all that she had dreamed it would be. Facing prejudice everywhere she turns, she makes other hard choices in trying to support her family...the son she brought to America with her and the relatives that she is staying with in the Midwest who are facing prejudice and struggling to make ends meet. In the end, this film reminds the viewer of the importance of family and the sacrifices we make for those we love. Amreeka (the Arabic word for America) is a humorous and warm-hearted first feature from Cherien Dabis that follows a Palestinian woman, Muna (Nisreen Faour) and her sixteen-year-old son, Fadi (Melkar Muallem) from the checkpoints of the West Bank to the checkmates of racial animosity in a small town in Illinois near Chicago. Set in 2003 at the start of the Iraq War, Muna leaves Bethlehem because she desires a better life for her son and can no longer put up with overbearing Israeli police, the harangues of her elderly mother, and reminders of her philandering ex-husband.
The opening sequence in which Muna is ecstatic about receiving her Green Card in the mail and says tearful goodbyes to her family on her way to America joyously captures the closeness of family and their caring for each other in a lighthearted manner. Unfortunately in the rest of the film things do not go as well for the young family. They have to deal with numerous incidents of overt and covert racism including bullying at school as they try to adjust to a new home and a new country.
Things start off badly when Muna and Fadi are harassed for three hours at the airport by Israeli customs and a tin box filled with cookies and all of their savings are handed over by Fadi to customs officials.

The Plot Of Legion Hollywood Movie:
Legion is a apocalypse themed fantasy-thriller film. After God loses faith in humanity, the archangel Michael (Paul Bettany) is the only one standing between mankind and the apocalypse. This time using angels as the act of Biblical judgment, God's wrath descends on Earth to exterminate the world's population. In a desperate, last-chance gambit, Michael leads a group of strangers to a small, New Mexico diner to protect a young waitress who may be pregnant with Christ in his second coming.
God has lost his faith in humankind, causing him to send his legion of angels to bring on the Apocalypse. A remote diner becomes the battleground, where the Archangel Michael (Bettany) bands together with a group of strangers, though Michael's true focus is to protect a pregnant waitress whose unborn child is humankind's hope for survival.
THE BUZZ: Scott Stewart used to head up acclaimed (and now sadly defunct) visual effects house The Orphanage, so his ascent to the director's chair is totally logical. And this post-apocalyptic tale isn't based on a comic book or other pre-existing entity -- how novel for the new year. Truly, our first glace at Paul Bettany as an archangel and Doug Jones as the "ice cream man" (Jones compares his character to a "clown with a knife behind his back") and we were hooked. This is going to be outrageously awesome.

Synopsis:
Filmmakers Kate Davis, David Heilbroner, and Franco Sacchi aim to clarify the abstruse relationship between Christian Zionists and Jews while encouraging dialogue between dissenting groups with this documentary examining the possibility that a substantial American voting block is attempting to create a self-fulfilling prophecy of international holy war. By speaking with Evangelicals in their homes, at conferences, and even during a tour of the site in Israel where they believe Jesus Christ will return to Earth, the filmmakers intertwine Jewish and Christian Zionist perspectives to explore the unique alliance between Evangelical Christians and Israel that could lay the groundwork for the battle of Armageddon. Interviewees include Connecticut evangelicals James and Laura Bagg, McAlester, OK-based Evangelicals Tony and Devonna Edwards, and Salem, OR-based doctor H. Wayne House, each of whom believe we are living in the end times, and that they will all be raptured into the heavens when Christ returns and humanity enters into a violent seven-year period known as "The Tribulation." ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

Waiting for Armageddon explores the culture of 50 million American Evangelicals who believe that Bible prophecy dictates the future of mankind and that Israel and the Jewish people play pivotal roles in ensuring Christ’s return. The film raises questions regarding how this theology shapes U.S.- Middle East relations and how it may even encourage an international holy war. Using intimate portraits and archival footage to explore how literal belief in Biblical prophecy – including the Rapture and Armageddon – exerts a dangerous influence on U.S. relations in the Middle East, Waiting for Armageddon tells its story through the eyes of three evangelical families who are certain that upon Christ's Second Coming they will be “raptured” or lifted into the skies to join Christ while the rest of humanity suffers for seven years during “The Tribulation.” Although the film takes viewers from Connecticut to Oregon, all three families find the modern world laden with symbolism that suggests the End Times are at hand. Israel is central to this, as the Holy Land is where the battle of Armageddon will destroy the earth, clearing the way for Christ to return and create a new, perfect world. Leaders of Armageddon theology pressure the White House, we learn, and their numbers are growing. In the end, Waiting for Armageddon considers whether this large American voting block may be creating a self-fulfilling prophecy of all-out war.

Plot Summary: "In Search of Memory" is a critically-acclaimed biographical documentary on the life and work of neuroscientist Eric Kandel, winner in 2000 of the Nobel Prize for Medicine for his research on the physiological basis of the brain's memory storage. Kandel, born in Vienna in 1929, emigrated to the U.S. at the age of nine to escape Nazi persecution. After early studies in history and literature, he focused on medicine and became a psychoanalyst before devoting his life, for the last fifty years, to neuroscience. His research field, which is closely linked with his traumatic childhood experience during the Nazi era in Vienna and the Holocaust, is the search for memory. He relates his life story and scientific work in his award-winning autobiography, "In Search of Memory: The Emergence of a New Science of Mind," in 2006. The documentary interweaves Kandel's life story with the latest advances in neuroscience. Petra follows Kandel on a very personal journey into his own memory, which takes us to the external and internal locations of his childhood in Vienna, using both archival footage and dramatic re-creations, to his laboratory work at Columbia University in New York, and, through his research, right into the center of the brain, as he explains where and how our memories are stored.Memoryis everything. Without it we are nothing, says neuroscientist Eric Kandel, winner of the Nobel Prize for his groundbreaking research on the physiology of the brains storage of memories. As h...
