After long time, director-cum-producer Lal is gearing up to play a hero. The Malayalam actor has recently signed on to play lead role in Aashiq Abu directed movie Salt N Pepper. According to reports, the movie will commence its production on 3rd January, 2011 and is likely to release in April.In recent years, Lal has played character roles in movies like April Fool, Penpattanam, Best Actor and Kandahar. He is appearing in an important role in Payyans, which is ready for release. Now, the actor will play the male lead in Salt N Pepper. Swetha Menon is pairing up with Lal.
However, Salt N Pepper will be produced and distributed by Lucsam Cinema. Syam Pushkaran, Dileesh Nair have written story and screenplay for the film, which will have the music of Bijibal and Shyju Kahild's cinematography. Asif Ali, Mythili and Nedumudi Venu are also playing other important roles in it.
