Vallakottai story is all about Arjun, who comes out from jail, reaches ‘Vallakottai’ with an agenda. Who is he and what are his plans will be revealed in an interesting way. There will be plenty of twists and turns.

1) Thirty years in film industry and yet action king Arjun strikes with the same spectacular shows as he posed three decades ago. Looking young, zippy, and energetic is his unparalleled USP. With his four important films scheduled for release by the end of 2010, the actor is busy now simultaneously shooting for these projects.
The first to hit the screens in this league will be his bilingual movie Vande Mataram, in which he has shared screen space with Malayalam superstar Mammootty. This film is directed by D. Aravindan and is produced by Henry under the banner of Pankaj Productions. His other film Maasi directed by Kiccha features him as a cop, who doesn’t use his brawniness, but his brains to spifflicate the baddies.
Striding away from these films will be Vallakottai as Arjun performs an unusual role of a petty thief. Literally vexed with his fraudulent acts, he decides to give up. But his arrival in Vallakottai, a district in Southern Tamil Nadu has different plans for him. Filmmaker Kiccha adds that the film will be racy enough to keep audiences on edge of their seats, with a climax studded with breathtaking stunts.
Arjun’s Mei Kaan will be a thriller set in the backdrop of Malaysia and is directed by Major Ravi, who recently completed shooting for his multilingual movie Kandahar with superstars Mohan Lal and Amitabh Bachchan.
2) in Tamil films, a action based story has always done well. All the actions along with the strong and powerful dialogues have always drawn in the audiences. This compelled the king of action ,Arjun Sarja, to take up another cop film titled Maasi.
Speaking about his latest venture, Arjun stated, “Maasi is not just a typical cop film with dons and his associates. It is more of a realistic film that has drama merged with commercial elements. The story goes beyond the duets and actions.”
The film’s title is inspired from the name of the villain Maasi. Director Kicha thinks that this title is best suited for the film.
Arjun, who is well known for doing stunts and action sequences himself, will have some interesting stunts in Maasi too. When asked if the film is based only on action, the actor contends, “Any film needs a proper package of a good concept and lively screenplay. A fresh idea is also very important to make the film a hit. Films like Gentleman and Mudhalvan scored well as they are based on this concept.”
Speaking about the heroine of the film, Arjun informed, “Two new actresses are taken in the film as the established names are busy with other projects. Most of the new faces disappear after one or two films. Earlier also, I have acted with debutant Haripriya in Vallakottai.
Dhina is composing music for Maasi, who has been chosen by the producer. Arjun quipped, “I loved the tracks in the film, especially the melody on a mother’s love.”
Hope, the film succeeds in adding another golden feather to his acting cap!
