Steve Buscemi, Anne Heche, Cynthia Nixon, Sigourney Weaver and Robin Wright have joined director Oren Moverman's cop crime-thriller Rampart, which stars Woody Harrelson, Ice Cube and Ben Foster.

According to Variety, Rampart was written by Oren Moverman and James Ellroy.

The film is set against the backdrop of the scandal within the L.A.P.D. Rampart Division in the late 1990s, and is the fictional account of a veteran police officer (Woody Harrelson) caught up in the scandal, and his search for redemption.

Rampart will begin production Oct. 25 in Los Angeles.

Rampart comes to theaters in 2012 and stars Woody Harrelson, Ben Foster, Ice Cube, Steve Buscemi, Anne Heche, Sigourney Weaver, Robin Wright, Cynthia Nixon. The film is directed by Oren Moverman.
