The Razzie Awards come as a perfect foil to the Golden Globe Awards and Oscars honoring the worst in showbiz. This award ceremony is run by Golden Raspberry Foundation of John Wilson. Wilson stated that the Razzie Awards is the best antidote to act against the Oscar fever. The winners of the 31st Razzie Awards will be announced on February 26th, just one day before the Academy Awards.

This year’s Razzie Awards nominations have been announced. More than 600 voters will take part in deciding the winners. As expected, most of the stars do not attend the Razzie Awards. But there are some exceptions like Halle Berry, who won the Razzie Award for Catwoman and Sandra Bullock, who won for All About Steve. The funny part is, both these women won the Oscars the very next day, but for different films.

The nominations this year are led by The Twilight Saga: Eclipse with 9 nominations. M.Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender too got nine nominations at the Razzie Awards. Sex and the City 2 comes to a close second with seven nominations. The Bounty Hunter and Vampires Suck received four nominations each. All these films are contending for the worst film of the year award.

The four sexually unapologetic women of Sex and the City 2, Kim Cattrall, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis got nominated for the worst actress along with and Jennifer Aniston for her roles in The Switch and The Bounty Hunter. The others in this category are Kristen Stewart for Twilight, Miley Cyrus for The Last Song and Megan Fox for Jonah Hex.

Ashton Kutcher (Valentine’s Day and Killers), Taylor Lautner (Twilight), Robert Pattinson (Twilight) and Gerard Butler (The Bounty Hunter) are all vying for the award for the worst actor.
