BANGALORE: An inmate of the Nityananda Ashram has filed a complaint before Bidadi police against Lenin Karuppan, former driver of Swami Nityananda of allegedly raping her and also issuing threats to her life.

A Pushpa, who is also known as Manithya Supriyananda, claimed that Lenin and two others issued threats and also verbally abused her. She also alleged that they denigrated her in the name of her caste at 8am on December 30 while waiting for a bus on Bangalore-Mysore highway. She claimed that she belonged to adi dravida caste, a Scheduled Caste, and sought for proceedings against Lenin under the provisions of SCs and STs Prevention of Atrocities Act.

The complainant who addressed a press conference on Friday claimed that Bidadi police, instead of registering the FIR, had issued an endorsement stating that during the alleged time, Lenin was not in Bangalore but was in Chennai.

In her complaint, she stated that Lenin had taken her half-naked pictures in his mobile after giving her sedatives.
