Keith Richards Makes A Comeback With Next “Pirates Of The Caribbean”

Keith Richards Rolling Stone man Keith Richards makes a comeback in Hollywood with the next version of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchisee. The news is now official that Keith Richards has been roped in to play Johnny Depp’s father in the upcoming Jack Sparrow film “On Stranger Tides”. Thus Keith Richards is now part of a cast comprising popular Hollywood actor Johnny Depp and Spanish sensation Penelope Cruz.
Johnny Depp has often said in various interviews that it was the Rolling Stone rocker Keith Richards who was his chief inspiration behind the portrayal of lead “Pirates of the Caribbean” character Jack Sparrow. And now that the inspiration himself has become a part of the movie, the audience can surely wait for some lovely action from the father – son duo. The “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchisee has already set a record as the second highest grosser among recently released Hollywood movies.
Keith Richards was last seen in a “Pirates of the Caribbean” flick in the year 2007 in the role of Captain Teague for “At World’s End” and reports claim that the Rolling Stone rocker is all set to reprise his character for the upcoming version of the franchisee. “On Stranger Tides” is still at its filming stage. The crew members are presently shooting in London, with the film scheduled to hit theaters early next year.
