The Robot, which is the title of Hindi version of Endhiran, was originally registered by Shahrukh Khan's Red Chillies. However, SRK gave away the title to Shankar after the director sent a request letter to the actor asking him to lend the title.Earlier, Shahrukh and Shankar were in talks regarding Endhiran. Due to creative differences, SRK could not make it to Shankar's project. But it has not stopped King Khan from lending this title to the director.
Later, Shankar roped in Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Bachchan for this sci-fi film and rest is history. The movie is said to be releasing simultaneously in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu in September.
